About the Opportunity

AVAI is looking for talented software professionals to join our Technology Team. We work with numerous software technologies including Android, iPhone, Flash and .Net.  This opportunity will allow you to broaden your skill set and professional growth at an extremely rapid pace.

This is an entry level position.  Certain skills are required.  However, we will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Embedded systems development for a variety of residential and commercial subsystems.
• System Administration and Configuration of an automation platform to support project specific client needs.
• Installation and testing of software and troubleshooting of software and software-to-hardware-communication issues.  May be performed on-site or remotely.
• .NET software development and maintenance of automation applications.
• SQL Database administration and data entry to support the automation system requirements.
• Research of new automation technologies with possible design and prototyping of automation applications using these technologies.
• IT administration for the network and server components supporting automation platform and/or corporate infrastructures.
• Documentation development for test plans, client documentation and functional requirements.

Required Skills

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong General Programming Skills, Software Design, Software Debugging, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Problem Solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with an ability to work effectively on small teams.  Ability to respond to dynamic work and project requirements.
• Experience in C# and .NET technologies.  Experience with the Visual Studio IDE.
• Experience with SQL Server administration.  Experience with Windows server and network administration.  Experience with Microsoft Office including Visio.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on increasing responsibilities.

Desired Skills

• Enthusiastic interest in automation and mobile technologies.
