The CNE App contains almost everything you need to enjoy your day at the fair – just add sunscreen and deep-fried butter!

This first edition of this mobile app includes five main menu tabs: What’s On, Plan Visit, Map, Social and More+. The CNE App gives you access to event and concert listings, customer service information, directions and more, in an environment designed specifically for the iPhone user. Through the Social tab, you can view the CNE’s Twitter feed for real-time updates, as well as link to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. Updating your friends about your CNE EXperience has never been easier!

The map with enhanced GPS functionality, shows locations such as buildings, washrooms, ATMs, water filling stations and taxi stands, to name only a few. What’s more, we’ve outfitted our five CNE EXpress Trains and daily Mardi Gras Parade with GPS tracking equipment, meaning that you’ll know, by looking at your App map, when the next EXpress Train is around the bend, or a good time to get ready to catch Mardi Gras beads from the daily parade floats!

Finally, to make this a real multi-media experience, shake your iPhone to hear a collection of typical “CNE” sounds. “Mooooo,” and that’s all we’re going to say about this feature for now!

Once downloaded, the CNE App operates by and large without cellular network or internet connectivity. Certain features may require connectivity for full operation. This includes content updates, web browsing, Tweeting, photo/video uploading, etc. For your convenience, free Wi-Fi is available in various locations on the CNE Grounds, including Bandshell Park, Better Living Centre, Queen Elizabeth Building, Food Building and Direct Energy Centre. You may access the Wi-Fi as often as you’d like, however, the connection will timeout after 20 minutes to ensure only active users are on the network.
